Karl Killer was born a drummer. Having officially started at the age of 5 with his first drum set, Karl quickly advanced his skills through hard work and determination in his lessons and school music programs.

A graduate from Amity High School, Karl gained a formal background in music. He participated in Jazz band, marching band, concert band, pit orchestras, music theory, and participated in the school‘s annual music-centered talent shows.

Karl came into his own while taking private lessons with Greg Trabandt at RVP Studios. His talent was quickly recognized and swiftly put to use as Greg’s substitute teacher. In a short time, he became the lead drum instructor at RVP Studios, teaching up to 60 students per week. Karl‘s ambition continued to grow, leading him to create his own studio and business, Killer Drums.

Karl is a veteran of live performances and studio recording sessions. Since 17, Karl has toured heavily around the US with original and cover acts. From punk-rock basement shows, to Warped Tour, to weddings, to night clubs... Karl has played just about every stage possible.

Dynamic control, precise execution, and creative flair are just a few words to describe Karl‘s playing on-stage, or in the studio. As a full-time career musician, Karl has recorded and performed with over a dozen separate artists of varying genres.
